Part of the reason was I'd been looking out for those classic Half-Life G-Man sightings while I played, and I hadn't seen any. Excellent, chilling twist.Ĭhris: At some point before the end I suspected it wasn't Freeman in there. I knew it as soon as I saw his silhouette. I got the impression that this was the beginning of a split timeline, which is almost necessary for how much Alyx's ending confuses the events of the previous Half-Life games. Then it 'splits' and the house mirrors itself from above.

We get that wild tour through the space-time house where some ghost man, who doesn't look like any character I recognize, is just hanging out.

If you're reading this, look behind you, illomenati might get you.Chris: So, the ending. The slender-pewdiepie-swat-ST6-killerwhales have arrived do take back my ill gotten gains. It looks like there's a faint red filter on my screen.ĮDIT 4: I don't have much time. Completely normal game.ĮDIT 3: I tried launching it again, but it didn't launch as normal. I'll post edits later.ĮDIT 2: Played through the first 2 chapters. I'll try playing through the mysteriously appearing game. Do I need to let Valve know about this?ĮDIT: I have found a folder inside the Half Life 2 folder that is called "ep2", although this is still strange. Is this a glitch? Because it did put me to the store page as if I didn't have it on my steam account but tried to use the exe however when I use the exe but it also launched HL2.

I do own half life 2 episode 2, but not the regular half life 2. exe and it worked and launched HL2 normally (I know it did it as normal because I played hl2 on a friend's laptop). Ok, I was looking through the Steamappscommon folder and I found something strange, Half Life 2.
